As the vitally important November election rapidly
approaches, we on the right side of the aisle in Hollywood are working
hard to ensure a Republican victory. It's been very difficult in the
past for those in the Hollywood community to "come out" as a
conservative. Things are changing though. We were one of the first
openly conservative groups in Hollywood but there are more springing up.
This to satisfy the pent up demand of those who need to express
themselves, but have been suppressed by the left wing culture that
exists in this town.
We have proudly worked closely with David Zucker in
the past few years on some right-leaning commercials that make their
point using one of David's most powerful tools...comedy. This fall, with
the release of the film "An American Carol", there will be no question
as to which side of the aisle David is on. He is really risking it all
for what he believes in. It is therefore imperative that we support his
efforts and promote this film....Tell everyone you know to go see "An
American Carol" on it's opening weekend. The success of this film will
not only mean that our message is getting out there, it will also show
others that they can make a conservative, pro-American film that can
make money. This will be the beginning of changing the culture in
Hollywood for the good!
Mini
Political Bio
I’m a
working actor (SAG) and am originally from the Boston area, having moved
to LA in January 1998. I was very active in the Republican Party in
Massachusetts for many years, and thought I’d take a break once in
California. That didn’t last long however since, once it’s in your
blood, it stays in your blood.
My political activities in Massachusetts
started when, as a high school student in 1976, I got involved with the
presidential primary campaign, and had the honor of shaking Ronald
Reagan’s hand at a political rally in Boston.
At college, which was then a bastion of the
left, I became the President of the University of Massachusetts College
Republicans. I also hosted a radio talk show on WMUA radio in Amherst,
MA. After graduating, I became very involved with the Massachusetts
Republican Party (similar to the California Central Committee) and was the
Chairman of the Lexington Republican town committee. In 1988, I ran for
the State Senate and won the Republican nomination. In the 1990’s, I
joined Republican Governor Bill Weld’s administration, managing two
state agencies. I was also a political commentator during the 1992
presidential election on “Boston Common”, a Sunday morning news show
on WNAC-TV in Boston. Lately, I have appeared on the Fox News
Channel, MSNBC, and numerous radio talk shows throughout the
country.
As President of the Hollywood Republicans, I have
worked hard to build up our membership and to be a force within the
Hollywood Community to counter the ever prominent "Hollywood
Left". It has also been a goal of mine to partner with the many
other Republican groups and organizations here in Southern California to
promote our philosophy and elect Republicans to office.
